Our dear friend Elizabeth came to visit Spokane for a weekend conference. We were lucky enough to sneak in a lunch at one of our favorite restaurants, the Elk, and then take a quick walk around downtown. We stopped for coffee, but it was still a bit chilly as we walked to Riverpark. Just then, Elizabeth and I smelled the wafting aroma of grapes! I'm not kidding. I think that the gondola people pump the smell into the air! So, we decided that we needed to take a ride in the "grapes" over the falls. It was a bit scary at first, but we got used to it and had a great time and warmed oursleves up too! If you enlarge the pictures you can see some of the fantastic color we had this fall.
